Inspiring messages from the Global Prayer and Fasting program with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Pastor Chris explains leaders of the world are easily deceived by Satan
The man of God began his sermon at the Global Day of Prayer by thanking God for blessing all who gather for this glorious occasion. “Thank you for letting all of us be the works of your hands”, said Pastor Chris.
He then went on to elaborate on some of the main issues the nations around the world are facing today.
He said, “For the leaders of nations, the Bible shows us that men are deceived by Satan and that they did not know what to do. They take steps that cripple their own nations. They are doing what is right in their own eyes.”
The man of God then went on to quote Genesis 3:13 KJV, which says, “And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”
Pastor Chris explains here that the woman was deceived from the very beginning. The deceiver manifested himself there.
He also explains that 1 Timothy 2:14 (KJV) gives us the same thought; It says, “And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”
“Some people say that Satan deceived Adam and Eve, but it was only Eve that was deceived,” the man of God pointed out. “Adam knew the truth and that is why God charged him with treason,” added Pastor Chris.
“Following the Word of God guarantees that Devil will flee from you”, said Pastor Chris
The man of God then went on to examine a section from 2 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV) which says, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
Here the Pastor explains that if a mere serpent could deceive Eve, you too could also be easily deceived.
Pastor Chris asks us, “But, who is the serpent?” He then quotes Revelation 12:9 (KJV) which says: “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
The man of God then goes on to say that the deceiving serpent was there in the days of King David. As it says in 1 Chronicles 21:1 (KJV), “And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.”
Pastor Chris explains that by making his decisions as a leader, King David was not aware that he was motivated by Satan. That led to the unnecessary death of 70,000 men.
Later on, Pastor Chris concluded his point on the first day of the event by following this specific quote from James 4:7 (KJV): “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
He said, “Always remember that following the Word of God guarantees that Devil will flee from you. So, follow that Word to the ends of the earth”.
