Pastor Chris at ReachOut World: “The Lord has chosen us”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome hosted the ReachOut World Extravaganza Live from Friday, May 5th, to Saturday, May 6th, along with the LoveWorld Ministry.
Members of the LoveWorld community worldwide tuned in to witness the celebration of the milestone that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s daily devotional “Rhapsody of Realities” achieved by becoming the second–most translated book ever.
With translations in over 7,000 languages, “Rhapsody of Realities” serves as a guiding light for Christians everywhere, and the ReachOut World Extravaganza Live was no exception.
Pastor Chris: “We can encourage ourselves with the spirit of God”
In the opening session of the ReachOut World Extravaganza Live, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome talked about the significance of reaching the word of God worldwide. He said that people should reflect on what they have done and are still yet to do to spread the word of God.
“The Lord has chosen us for his work in these last days, and it is important for us to recognize it. It is just as important for us to know what we are doing. We can encourage ourselves with the spirit of God as He enabled us to do – the boldness He has given us, the direction He has given us,” the pastor said.
“Remember the Lord Jesus when He said, ‘It is you, Father, that speaks through you.’ He has truly encouraged us,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome added.
He then went through the Bible verse Psalm 68:11 (KJV), which says, “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.”
Alongside that, the pastor read the same verse in the AMPC version, which says, “The Lord gives the word [of power]; the women who bear and publish [the news] are a great host.”
“Rhapsody of Realities” as a guiding light
In the closing session of the ReachOut World Extravaganza Live, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began by thanking and blessing God for the event.
“The gospel by Jesus Christ is the most important thing in all the world, and it possesses the most important message in the world,” he said.
He went on to explain that not every Christian is conscious of this reality. According to the pastor, the reason is that they do not really know what it is. Many do not understand Christianity, even though they are themselves Christians.
“Some believers may say Christianity is the best religion in the world, but they are wrong. When you understand Christianity, you know that it is not a religion at all,” he elaborated.
“The Bible tells us that there is religion in Christianity. But Christianity itself is not a religion. It is like when there is prayer in Christianity, but Christianity is not a prayer,” he explained.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome then stated that this is where “Rhapsody of Realities” comes in. It helps educate and inform Christians about what he has received from God.
