Trump demands open churches amid Month of Opening
On Friday, May 22nd the American president, Donald Trump, made headlines when we ordered all churches, mosques, synagogues and other places of worship to reopen immediately after the Coronavirus lockdown.
When the leader of LoveWorld Nation, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, announced that May would be The Month of Opening, he did it with this speech.
“What does this mean? Is he opening your heart? Is he opening an opportunity? Is he opening a door? Is he opening a city? Is he opening a nation? But it is the month of opening. And God’s spirit is at work. This month, not only will there be an experience of it… There will be a projection of it. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord Jesus,” he said.
Churches are essential
Like many other countries, the United States has now started the process of reopening the society, and Donald Trump labels places of worship as essential to the public.
“The governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important, essential places of faith to open right now for this weekend. If they do not do it, I will override the governors. In America, we need more prayer, not less,” he said on Friday.
At the moment, churches, mosques and synagogues are already allowed to welcome believers in more than half of the American states while adhering to the social distancing instructions.
In other states, places of worship are still under lockdown despite the president’s remark.
Almost two months of prayer
During the Month of Opening, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has continued to open his followers’ hearts to divine messages and a stronger belief.
His popular “Your LoveWorld with Pastor Chris” prayer weeks have continuously been extended week after week and have now taken place more or less nonstop for two months.
It all started after Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Pastor Benny Hinn hosted a Global Prayer Day against the Coronavirus on March 27th. Afterward, he introduced the first week of “Your LoveWorld” prayers, and today, on May 24th, we are saying goodbye to week six.
Whether or not we will get a seventh phase, only time will tell.
WordFest continues to inspire
Another concept that will not leave us for now is the WordFest.
In the beginning of May, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome initiated WordFest, which is a special festival of meditation on God’s word.
Every day until June 7th, existing and new subscribers to the Pastor Chris Digital Library can get free access to divine messages from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome through the WordFest program.
Subscribers will be able to watch, listen to and meditate on a specifically selected message every day, as each day has a new theme.
