0Pastor Chris Declares August to be the Month of Meditation
Welcome to the Month of Meditation! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome revealed a new name for August on the past Global Communion Service and Praise Night.
A joint event took place on the first Sunday of the month, August 7th.
Global Communion Services are one of the most anticipated dates for the Christ Embassy congregation. These days, Pastor Chris discloses names for every month and explains their meanings.
Pastor Chris also names years at the annual New Year’s Eve Service on December 31st.
Speaking about August as the Month of Meditation, Pastor Chris told the congregation that here comes a better life:
“You are about to spread abroad; make such advancement that cannot be denied; make such progress in your life that cannot be denied.”
By continuing, our man of God elaborates on the importance of meditation which is the key to progress:
“But the secret is what we do this month — meditate. It’s a moment of meditation. You’re gonna focus your mind on the Word. You’re gonna talk to Word, think the Word, matter the word, confess the Word. You’ll meditate in the daytime; you’ll meditate in the nighttime. Soak your spirit with the Word of God.”
After that, Pastor Chris explains what to expect when we dedicate August to meditation:
“At the end of August, you will know that you’ve made a lot of progress. And in the months following, the results will begin to show. The results will begin to show. Hallelujah! Blessed be God!”
August is not the first Month of Meditation
For the LoveWorld family, August is quite unpredictable. Each year, its names differed greatly, so it would be difficult to guess the theme in advance.
For the last five years, August was the Month of Praise, Recovery, Beauty, Reflection, and the Shining Light. The eighth month has never focused on meditation before.
However, it is wrong to say that the concept of meditation is brand new for Christ Embassy members. As far back as 2015, May was the Month of Meditation as well. There was a remarkable moment for the US congregation as May is also a national meditation month in the country.
The topic of meditation itself appears often in the Christ Embassy doctrine. However, Pastor Chris called meditation an official theme of the month only twice. Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity to think about the concept with deeper appreciation.
The importance to meditate
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome pays a lot of attention to meditating. He included several chapters on this topic in Rhapsody of Realities. For example, the thought from the chapter “Meditation with celebration” resonates with what Pastor Chris talked about meditation during the Global Communion Service last Sunday:
“You can make your way prosperous, deal wisely, and have good success in every area of your life, and the key to making that happen is a meditation on the Word: meditation with celebration.”
Our man of God also says there are three levels of meditation. On the first level, believers almost whisper what is written in the scriptures and mutter to themselves.
On the second level, Christians start speaking out loud but quiet enough to not disturb others. The third level includes shouting the Words as loud as possible, letting everyone know about the victory in Jesus’ Name.
Of course, Bible mentions meditating as well. In Joshua 1:8, it says:
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
