Pastor Chris Declares August as the Month of Conscious Truth
As always, the new month began with divine direction during the August 2025 Global Communion Service. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome declared the month of August to be the Month of Conscious Truth, stirring hearts with a message that calls believers to live by the Word of God: not just in knowledge, but in conscious awareness.
With deep scriptural insight, Pastor Chris emphasized the need to walk intentionally in the truth of God’s Word. He reminded the global congregation that truth is not simply what we know, but what we live by.
Walking in the Truth Is Living in the Word
“It’s not enough to know the truth in a generic sense. You need the consciousness of truth,” Pastor Chris said, referencing 3 John 1:3–4. The Apostle John wrote that he rejoiced greatly to hear that his children walked in truth. Pastor Chris explained that this is the Lord’s desire for every believer—not merely to acknowledge the truth, but to walk in it every day.
To walk in truth is to live in God’s Word. Pastor Chris underlined the importance of studying the scriptures and embracing the ministry of the Holy Spirit. As Jesus said in John 16:13, the Spirit of Truth has been sent to guide us into all truth. With the Holy Spirit at work in our lives, we gain clarity—not just about spiritual things but about life itself.
“Walk in the glory of God, live His truth. You’re the manifestation of His righteousness ” — Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Pastor Chris on the Power of Meditation
According to Pastor Chris, meditation is key to developing the consciousness of truth. When believers meditate on God’s Word, they become more sensitive to His voice and more aware of His realities.
He challenged the congregation to reconsider common phrases like “nobody’s perfect,” exposing them as inconsistent with the truth of God’s Word. “If God said, ‘Be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect,’ then it’s possible,” Pastor Chris insisted. He explained that when Christians repeat phrases rooted in worldly thinking, they are unknowingly resisting God’s truth.
These declarations, often thought to be humble, are in fact rooted in doubt and unbelief. Pastor Chris called this mindset a deception and warned against entertaining ideas that go against the identity we have in Christ.
Rejecting Flawed Thinking Through Pastor Chris’ Teachings
Pastor Chris urged the saints to break free from worldly narratives and excuses that limit spiritual growth. He made it clear that Christians are not to live by the standards of natural men. “Were you told to be a man?” he asked rhetorically. “As He is, so are you in this world,” Pastor Chris declared, referencing 1 John 4:17.
He further explained that ministry gifts were given to the Church for the perfecting of the saints. If that perfecting were not possible, why then would God appoint apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers?
He warned believers to be watchful of anyone who promotes the idea that flaws are to be accepted and celebrated. “Next time you hear someone say, ‘Even pastors have flaws,’ you’re listening to manipulation,” Pastor Chris said. Such statements, he explained, are forms of spiritual witchcraft designed to lower the standard of God’s calling.
Pastor Chris Encourages Believers to Embrace Divine Perfection
True Christianity, Pastor Chris taught, is the expression of divine truth. The more we gaze upon Jesus, the more we are transformed into His likeness. This truth is not meant to remain theological or abstract. It’s practical, and it manifests in daily living.
“You will struggle with your flaws as long as you believe in them,” he said. “But if you believe in His righteousness, you’ll walk in it—and your life will go from glory to glory.”
The call for this month is clear: Let the Word dominate your thinking, and meditate until you become fully conscious of the truth. This is how transformation happens—through deliberate, truth-filled living.
