Pastor Chris Declares the Power of Justification
The Jesus Alive Conference was a time of revelation, transformation, and powerful teaching. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, guided by the Holy Spirit, delivered a remarkable message about the believer’s identity in Christ.
In a world where many are confused about their place in God’s plan, Pastor Chris reminded the global audience of the truth: we are washed, sanctified, and justified. These are not promises; they are completed realities.
The True Condition of Your Spirit
This teaching was not just a reminder—it was a divine correction. Pastor Chris emphasized that Christians must never compare themselves to others for whom the Word seemingly “did not work.” Faith is personal, and it is always tied to your words. “By your words, you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned,” Pastor Chris quoted. What you say in prayer, meditation, and declaration reveals the true condition of your spirit.
Your Journey Is From Glory to Glory
Pastor Chris explained the divine progression of the Christian life: “grace to grace, faith to faith, glory to glory.” It is a spiritual journey that must reflect consistent growth and increasing brightness. The man of God urged believers to be more glorious than they were just hours before. But this is only possible when the heart is meditating on the right things. If you allow fear, doubt, or worldly thoughts to enter, the brightness of that glory dims.
He warned against looking to others as spiritual examples if their results bring fear or confusion. Pastor Chris told a story of “Brother Johnson,” a man who once boldly declared he’d never be sick—but then fell ill and passed away. It caused confusion for some. “But you didn’t know what he said before God in prayer,” Pastor Chris pointed out. What someone declares publicly may differ from what they cry out in secret. That’s why your own faith must be rooted in the Word—not in others’ experiences.
Pastor Chris Teaches That You Are Justified and Glorified
One of the most stirring parts of the message was the powerful declaration: You are justified. You are not being justified. You are not going to be justified. You already are. Pastor Chris quoted from 1 Corinthians 6 and Romans 8, showing the believers that God has already completed His work in them. “You are washed, sanctified, and justified,” he declared. Not only that, but “those He justified, He also glorified.” It’s done.
Pastor Chris made the audience affirm it aloud. “Say it—I am washed. I am sanctified. I am justified. I am glorified!” These are spiritual realities. They are not dependent on your feelings or circumstances. They are based on what God has already said about you. They are eternal truths. When God calls you glorified, you don’t question it. You receive it with joy and thanksgiving.
Pastor Chris Challenges Believers to Embrace Their Identity
The message was a strong challenge for believers to stop accepting thoughts of condemnation. “You say you’re saved,” Pastor Chris said, “but then you pray, ‘Lord, save me!’ Which is it?” This double-mindedness prevents spiritual growth. The message of salvation is not only about what you are saved from but also what you are saved into—a life of victory, righteousness, and divine identity.
At the Jesus Alive Conference, Pastor Chris brought it all into sharp focus. If we claim Jesus is alive and in us and we don’t walk in eternal life, then we’ve misunderstood the message. But we do have eternal life, and we must speak it, walk it, and live it.
“Never forget,” Pastor Chris said, “those whom He predestinated, He also called. Those He called, He also justified. And those He justified, He also glorified.” He paused, then asked the crowd: “What tense is that? It’s past tense! He’s already done it!”
This powerful teaching was a reminder that the Word is true, and it works. Our part is to believe it, say it, and live it.
